7 Right Now...

...I should be cleaning the house or working on meal prep. But I'm procrastinating like mad. We've got guests coming over in less than two hours! Sadly, the big post I'd planned to publish today will have to wait until tomorrow. :(

...Josh is watching a documentary about the 9/11 attacks. It's super interesting. What a day...

...This morning, I met up with my brother and his crew at the Mt Juliet Farmers' Market (where the lone vendor gave us watermelon slices and banana bread to snack on!). I didn't get to hang around long, but it was cool to go back to Charlie Daniels Park - so many high school memories associated with that place.

...I'm grateful for friendly neighbors. While I was running errands, Josh got some work done, then biked around the neighborhood. When I got home, his bike was in front of our neighbor's unit so I stopped in to share a loaf of strawberry bread from the farmers' market. Our neighbor is this spunky elderly woman with a, ahem, colorful vocabulary, who lives alone with her teacup poodle and plays solitaire/watches for hummingbirds during the day. It was pretty fun - we just sat around a chit chatted, but she is super blunt and entertaining to be around. We don't do that often enough. 

...Okay, okay. I've put off my chores long enough. I need to go chop some veggies and clean the bathroom. After that, an evening with friends! :) Worth it.
