Also, we got more strawberries (yusss), 2 zucchini, 2 yellow squash, and spinach.
Dinner: Parmesan Kale and Broccoli Pasta with Sun Dried Tomatoes
I hesitantly combined two untested recipes in order to use up the kale and broccoli leftover from last week.. and it tastes sooo good. I'm pretty proud of the end result!
I threw in a few extra ingredients for good measure, so it isn't close enough to either recipe for me to share the links. Maybe I'll do a recipe post in the next couple of days - is that something any of you would be interested in seeing?

I'd definitely like to see a recipe! Always up for new things to make now that I have a kitchen to actually make those things
ReplyDeleteYES!!!
ReplyDeleteThat looks so yummy!
ReplyDeleteYes, I would love to see the recipe (yours, that is)! Kale is a wonderful vegetable; It can be quite tasty. And pasta and parmesan to top it off—sounds good! :-D
ReplyDeleteAnd I was glad to see you are reading Anne of Green Gables! I'm only barely into the second book, but I really want to make it through them all this time. The first one, anyway, is quite a masterpiece of fun. It's one of the best books to read aloud!
I must admit, I was inspired by you to pick up Anne of Green Gables. They've been sitting on my bookshelf for months, but your comments about the series made me decide to give them another go.
DeleteHi Kelli. I never commented here, I know you from Blimey Cow and I really like your blog I'm reading for a while. I see you're in a new healthy diet and I want to ask you if you have had the "healing crisis". I recently became a vegetarian and now - after a few months from the beginning of the diet - I started feeling sick, like if my body is begging for junk food. So, if you had it, how long does it takes?
ReplyDeletePS: I'm not native English speaker (and is 2am here right now) so I'm sorry for the mistakes I've probably made :)
I've experienced healing crises before. I'm not sure how long they've taken.. I've heard that it depends on the person, and how much healing the body needs to go through before it can get back to normal. It just depends on how many toxins you had stored up that your body is now getting rid of. Stick with it, though! It's worth it in the end! :)
DeleteOh, I forgot to say that I would love this recipe! :D
ReplyDeleteLooks great to me! I just wonder if my two-year-old would touch it... She's super picky!
ReplyDeleteI would probably end up eating it alone, cuz my wonderful hubby is deployed. :( Eating healthy is hard with a toddler who won't eat hardly anything, much less healthy food!
Your CSA is enough to make me want to come back to the States.
ReplyDeleteAnd Mariana, I just wanted to let you know that your English is beautiful, and, speaking as an ESL teacher, I would have never guessed you weren't a native speaker. :)
