These videos are described as "A day in the life of an after school program intern, condensed to four minutes." There are only two right now, but they're both hilarious. Josh and I have been quoting one-liners from these since the moment we watched the first one. Here's hoping she makes this a consistent weekly project! If you can't see the videos, here are the links: March 7, 2012 and March 15, 2012.
Tetris Battle on Facebook
Tetris. Is. So. Addicting.
The Hunger Games
Josh and I are reading them together in preparation for the movie. We're a hundred pages shy of finishing the first book; the second read-through is just as good, if not better.
Instagram
I mean, obviously. I only recently got into Instagram, so you'll probably see a lot more instagram'd iPod pics on the blog in the near future. You can follow me @krftaylor if you'd like.
We've been twice this week to pick up a bunch of fresh produce. I love it. I'm working on a blog post to go up in a couple days with more details (and pictures!) so keep your eye out for that.
What are you enjoying these days?
Are we the same person? I'm currently reading the Hunger Games too. And you know I love the farmers market, instagram, and kirbyeveryday. P.S. I'm honored.
ReplyDeleteNow all I have to do is get you addicted to tetris and we'll be the EXACT. SAME. PERSON.
DeleteThose videos were hilarious! At least she seems to stay busy! Hunger Games is awesome, of course. I really like that "how to care for introverts" thing you have in your sidebar. I'm absolutely an introvert and I wish more people could read this!
ReplyDeleteAgreed! I wish I knew the original source for that photo. I found it on pinterest, and it was pinned from someone's blog without a source. I suppose I'm perpetuating that cycle by having it on MY blog without a source... but it's so true.
DeleteI've been enjoying writing real letters by hand with pen and paper. Also watching Buster Keaton movies. LOL! What an athlete/entertainer! Do you ever watch silent movies?
ReplyDeleteWhat age do you think is too young to read The Hunger Games books? I'm sure it depends on the kid, but what's your opinion if you had to make a general guess? I'm curious and have not read them myself yet.
I've been toying with the idea of making "write one hand-written letter a day" one of my resolutions in the coming months, so it's funny you say that. I don't watch silent movies regularly, but I can agree that Buster Keaton is a marvel. I'll have to watch some soon.
DeleteYes, I'd say it depends on the kid. But it's probably for mid-to-late teens and up. There is a lot of violence in them; the premise is pretty mature. I would suggest parents read them before they allow their kids to read them so they can make a better judgement in that area.
Try out Kingdom books! I've known kids who wouldn't touch a book until they found these!

My hunger games review
http://www.loganmakesamess.com/2012/03/hunger-games.html
I've never heard of the Kingdom books. But it looks like something I would've loved when I was younger. Thanks for the recommendation.
DeleteOhh, The Hunger Games! I love that series! X3 Well, I haven't even finished the first chapter of "Catching Fire" yet >_<
ReplyDeleteNow for the obligatory question: Peeta or Gale? (I'm on--feel free to laugh--Team Haymitch. Hehehehehehehe... ^ ^;)
